NEW! 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM- Workforce Development and STEM Session- Dayton Convention Center- Third Floor

ABSTRACT: The National Defense Strategy, the Air Force S&T 2030 Strategy, and other national security guidance all highlight a strong demand for emerging technologies, innovation and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) experience from its workforce.  As part of an ongoing effort to build a pipeline of technology proficient military Airmen and Guardians, a small core team of senior leaders have been meeting the last few years to discuss the desired end state, the approach, and the guiding principles needed to achieve this objective.  Building upon this work to date and to enhance communication with military members and industry partners, Maj Gen Pringle has endorsed the idea of a collaborative workshop at the Wright Dialogue with Industry (WDI). The goal of the workshop will be to articulate previous and current efforts to develop, grow, and retain a technologically proficient military workforce and to solicit feedback and questions from the attendees.
